IMPORTANT NOTICE

A separate ICWF (Indian Community Welfare Fund) account is now being fully operational w.e.f 01.12.2015. An amount of €2/- for ICWF was included as service charge for all the services provided (i.e Visa, Passport, OCI & misc services etc.). Henceforth, applicants are advised to submit two separate Bank draft/Postal Order one for visa/passport/OCI/Misc charges and another for €2/- for ICWF which may be paid either in Postal Order/Bank draft. Both the Bank drafts/Postal Order should be in favour of the Indian Embassy.

Police Clearance Certificate

Post or bring the following documents to the Embassy:

  1. Application form filled in, specifying the name of the country for which PCC is required.
  2. Passport in original
  3. Photocopy of the first and last two pages of the passport along with a copy of GNIB card
  4. Two recent passport size photographs
  5. Prescribed Fee of € 22/- payable through Postal Order/Bank Draft in favour of ‘Embassy of India, Dublin’

Processing Time: One week for passports issued from Dublin and four to five weeks in other cases

Date of Birth Certificate

Post or bring the following documents to the Embassy:

  1. Application form filled in
  2. Passport in original
  3. Photocopy of the first and last two pages of the passport along with a copy of GNIB card
  4. Two recent passport size photographs
  5. Prescribed Fee of €22/- payable through Postal Order/Bank Draft in favour of Embassy of India, Dublin

Processing Time: Four working days

Registration of Birth

(* Registration of birth is mandatory before a new born child can be issued an Indian passport)

Post or bring the following documents to the Embassy:

  1. Application form filled in by both parents.
  2. Passports and copies thereof (of both parents of the child). Name of the spouse should be endorsed in each other's passport before registration of the birth of the child
  3. Birth certificate issued by the hospital in Ireland, in original, attested by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and a photocopy thereof (after attestation)
  4. Copy of Marriage Certificate of the parents. Please do not enclose original marriage certificates as the Embassy will not be responsible for its loss /return.
  5. Three recent passport size photographs of the child as specified for issue of passport.
  6. Application for Birth Registration and first passport for the newly born child can be made together.
  7. Prescribed Fee of €27/- payable through Postal Order/Bank Draft in favour of Embassy of India, Dublin

Processing time: Three days, if done within one year of the birth of the child; 2 months thereafter

Registration of Death and for transportation of the body to India

Post or bring the following documents to the Embassy:

  1. Application (to be made by the next of kin/employer of the deceased)
  2. Passport of the deceased
  3. Police report lodged, intimating circumstances of the death
  4. Post-mortem report giving the cause of the death and Death Certificate, issued by hospital/municipal authorities (duly attested by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs) and ruling out foul play -- in original.
  5. Embalming certificate issued by the hospital/municipal authorities, duly attested by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs (and list of personal effects, in case the body is to be transported to India)
  6. Registration of death and attestation of all relevant documents will be done free of cost.
